Absolutely French helps international talents and their partners settle in France. To do this we handle some personal information. This page explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, who can see it and what your rights are. We wrote it to be read, so it is short and in plain English.

1. Who we are

Absolutely French SAS, 15 rue du Colonel Moll, 75017 Paris, France. Registered in Paris under number 809 370 265. Represented by Armelle Perben, President. Absolutely French is the data controller for the personal data collected through absolutelyfrench.com and absolutely-talented.com, and for its programmes and events. Absolutely Talented is a programme of Absolutely French.

Privacy contact: contact@absolutelyfrench.com. Absolutely French is below the thresholds that require a data protection officer; the privacy lead, Armelle Perben, handles all requests.

We collect what the purpose needs and nothing more. We never sell personal data.

3. Who can see your data

• The Absolutely French team, and the trainers of your group when you follow a programme.

• Your employer, when it funds your programme: attendance and progress as agreed in the contract, never the personal confidences you share with us.

• Our service providers, bound by data processing agreements: Google (Drive, Google One – documents and storage), IONOS (email), monday.com (registration forms, follow-up, hosted in the EU), Brevo (newsletters), DocuSign (electronic signature), Wix (absolutely-talented.com hosting and forms), [hosting provider of absolutelyfrench.com – to confirm], Arq (encrypted backups).

• Public authorities when the law requires it.

Some providers are based in the United States. Transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission standard contractual clauses, which we check before choosing a provider.

4. How we protect your data

Access is limited to named people who need it. Every account is protected by two-factor authentication. Our computers are encrypted, backed up daily and protected by antivirus and VPN. Our team signs a confidentiality and good practice agreement before starting. Should a breach ever put your data at risk, we notify the CNIL within 72 hours and inform you when the risk is high.

 

5. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access your data, correct it, delete it, limit its use, receive it in a portable format, or object to its use. When we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect what was done before.

Write to contact@absolutelyfrench.com or to Absolutely French, 15 rue du Colonel Moll, 75017 Paris. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We answer within one month.

You can also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority: CNIL, 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, www.cnil.fr.

6. Cookies

Our sites use essential cookies to work (session, security, your cookie choices) and, with your consent, audience measurement cookies [and marketing cookies, if any – to confirm]. When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or refuse non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings link in the footer or from your browser settings. Cookies are kept for a maximum of 13 months.
